Build Up Contracting By Design is a family-owned construction company serving Southwest Florida. We approach construction with a simple belief: a successful project starts with listening, honest communication, and taking responsibility for the work entrusted to us.
From residential remodeling and additions to commercial build-outs, we coordinate the people, planning, and construction required to move a project from an idea toward completion. Our goal is not simply to finish a project — it is to build something our clients can feel confident in long after the work is done.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND BUILD UP
EDMOND PRENDI — FOUNDER & GENERAL CONTRACTOR
Edmond’s path to construction began long before Build Up had a name. Growing up in a communist country where private property and the freedom to build something of your own were largely out of reach, he developed an early appreciation for ownership, opportunity, and what it means to build a better future.
After moving to Florida with his family in 2008, Edmond built businesses, invested in real estate, and experienced construction from the client’s side. Those experiences shaped the kind of contractor he wanted to become: accessible, accountable, straightforward, and focused on doing what is right for the client and the project. Today, Edmond leads Build Up’s construction operations, project management, subcontractor coordination, logistics, and business development — with a simple philosophy: be human first and build for every client as you would build for your own family.
ALSINA DEDA — CO-FOUNDER | DESIGN & CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Alsina brings the other half of the Build Up experience to life. After the family’s decision to expand into real estate and construction, she pursued her education in architecture and interior design, graduating valedictorian with high honors. Her eye for detail is matched by something equally important: an ability to listen, understand what a client is trying to create, and help turn that vision into practical decisions.
From the first client conversations through layouts, materials, tile, flooring, colors, and finishes, Alsina helps shape the design experience. Behind the scenes, she also coordinates permit packages, submissions and follow-ups, and works with architects and engineers to keep projects moving. Her role connects the client’s vision with the administrative and design coordination required to help turn that vision into a buildable project.
WHY WE CALL IT BUILD UP
Build Up was never meant to describe construction alone. The name came from a belief that has shaped our lives for decades — that we can always build something better: ourselves, our families, our homes, our businesses, and the communities around us.
For Edmond, that belief began growing up in a country where private property and the freedom to build something of your own were largely out of reach. For Edmond and Alsina, it continued through starting over in Florida during one of the country’s most difficult economic periods, building businesses, raising a family, facing setbacks, and learning that progress rarely happens without perseverance.
Build Up is our reminder to keep moving forward. Every project gives us an opportunity to improve something that matters to another family or business — and to build it with the same care, responsibility, and long-term thinking we would want for our own.
